REQUIREMENTS
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fit Out / Boat Builder with an eye for detail to join our fast-growing shipyard in Southampton to help us meet growing demand for our yachts. With exclusive rights to build brand new Southerly and Bluewater yachts, this role would suit an ambitious and enthusiastic person who is committed to meet Ocean Shipyard’s high quality standards and work to precise deadlines. You will ideally have at least two years’ marine industry experience.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Able to show competence and experience in a variety of boat building skills
- Take pride in, and take responsibility for the work that you do
- Be happy working under supervision, but competent working alone where required
- Be confident using fixed machinery
- Good attention to detail and well organised
- Good practical hand skills – Practical skills we find are often more important than qualifications.
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety
